We are plain, ordinary humans living in an island country smacked in the middle of Southeast Asia – Singapore!

Living in an era where computers are and will continue to be the mainstay of any self-respecting organization and which are heavily reliant on for entertainment and education, we decided to put on our ranger hats and show the community how best to take care of your computers.

We start off by looking at computers with high mobility (Laptops). Why? The need for mobility is burgeoning and the need for laptops are sweeping across the globe. However, imagine the amount of heat generated by squeezing all those computer components (i.e. processor, memory modules, graphics processor, hard disk) into that super slim casing! Especially in a tropical country like Singapore, HOT! And heat is a major killer of laptops! – by no means do we want our laptops to be exposed to extreme temperatures if we want it to be working the way we want it to.

Thus, this blog is dedicated to the most vital laptop accessory of all – Laptop Cooling Pads!

Do read on for our personal experiences if you’re interested

Bryan -

I have to learn this lesson first hand. I owned a Fujitsu Lifebook Ultra-portable series a few years back and was a heavy user of my beloved Fujitsu Lifebook, but it never occurred to me that my laptop was crying for a cooling pad. I thought that perhaps the ceiling fan might be able to cool it – but hell was I wrong. It died on me in just 1.5 years time!! I quickly sent it to the guys at Fujitsu for repairs but resuscitation was not possible… It was pronounced dead after 2 hours. My hard disk was replaced by the Fujitsu guys and I didn’t have to pay a single cent as it was still within warranty period. Happy ending?

Heck no. Fast forward 6 months from the date of repair, my laptop died again. I never got to know the real cause of its imminent death. 6 months?!This time round my warranty had just expired. Talk about perfect timing. Anyway, I was convinced that the damage had already been done during the 1.5 yrs that I had been using it. My $2,700 investment in the laptop gone in just 2 years with no salvage value. Talk about bad investment. Pssht..

Wendy -

My customers often come to me with complains on cooling pads that they bought from OTHERs which failed their requirement. I explained that other retailers wouldn’t waste their time on the customer for a $30+ item. Their common complains: laptop still hot; cooler pad noisy.

I for one was once a victim of a $22 plastic cooling pad, which did not really aid in removing the heat from the laptop and I felt really ripped off. It was so expensive and simply not worth the dollars I paid for. Thus, being resourceful, I sourced for a reliable supplier of cooling pads and embarked on a mission to provide the best cooling pad service to the society.
